Specs and performance wise what are the main differences between Intel i5-5200U and Intel i5-6200U? On both CPUs the specs look very similar to each other. Are there any 'make or break' specs differences "behind the scenes"? Could you find any relevant differences between the two CPUs while using the laptop for normal daily base net surfing, text prosessing, HQ video watching and basic online gaming (such as Runescape).

How much would the difference in performance be between these two CPUs and what would you considers as a justified price difference between these two CPUs? Thanks!

Broadwell (5th gen) vs Skylake (6th gen)

Skylake has slightly better (~5%?) performance per clock, slightly better performance per watt, and is clocked slightly higher. It has a newer generation of Intel's integrated graphics, which is perhaps 10% faster.

I expect you'd have slightly better battery life, but you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two in day-to-day use.
