Bent pins on a new Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel B85?

A couple of Noobs here - my son and I taking on a project to build a gaming machine.

We got everything assembled but no video. From checking out the forums here one of things to check for was bent pins - which we appear to have on CPU socket.

Can anyone confirm based on the pictures that this indeed looks like a bent pin? Would this cause the motherboard from not firing up?

In addition to no video the heatsink fan does not start up either. There appears to be power to all of the other components (the fan, the disc drive, etc)

Thanks in advance!

August and Liam

ya,and they an break off as well as getting bent .. looks like back to newegg and add to cart for you rma's for this are near 100% declined cause it considered end user abuse / damage

bad luck there on all that

you got to be extra carefull with intel when seating in the chip and this could be easily done

now if you can determine if none are gone /broke off you may can straighten them out look on line for how to's
