I have a evga gtx 670 ftw with
+40 Core +425 Mem +25mv
Its almost rock solid stable but anytime i benchmark or even play a game my card climbs to 80c and with the blower fan spinning like a jet. Whats weird is it idles at 29c and is good till around 1000-1100mhz then the temp skyrockets on boost which is 1228mhz

Solution
Your temperatures are completely fine, particularly for a highly overclocked GTX 670. Given that your non-boosted core clock rate is 1006 MHz, it doesn't even seem like you're even taking much of a hit in terms of your Turbo Boost clocks. You can check into an Accelero IV, but just know that your card is functioning perfectly normal and exactly as designed. And to reiterate, low to mid-80c temps are completely normal.

I would honestly invest in a new graphics card . By the time you buy a new cooler for it it would be around $100 and you could end up damaging the card on accident . But if you must change cooling then the Corsair h60 would work
