What he's got is a 475w bronze certified power supply. The requirements of the GTX 970 is a 500w power supply. He will still need to change the power supply. So it doesn't matter what the brand of the power supply he's got right now, it's still not going to meet the requirements of the GPU. That is what I'm saying.

If its from Seasonic and it only has around 480w it would be able to run it . I believe you are misinformed . Wattage doesn't matter as much as quality . A 500w diablotek power supply would not be able to run the 970 . A seasonic 500w would be able to .

I don't believe he said anything about Seasonic.
I think we're having a misunderstanding here. I'm trying to say that at 475w, it won't matter what brand he uses just because he is short on wattage. 500w on whatever brand he chooses, at least the build has a chance of functioning properly.
