Sorry if there are a ton of these threads.

I just got this cpu from a friend:
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03499587

Running Windows 10 64-bit.

Simple question? It came with a 2GB and a 4GB stick. 6GB total.
I used the Crucial scanner tool to find compatible sticks.

This is the new RAM I bought:
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/pavilion-p7-1414/CT3740349

There are 4 RAM slots. The 2 old sticks are in the blue slots.
So can I move the old sticks to the black slots and use the two new 8GB in the blue.

For a total of 22GB of RAM. 8+8+4+2

Thanks for any replies.

Solution
Try starting with just the 8GB sticks (and might need to upgrade the BIOS), if all is well, then try adding the 4GB if still good, then the 2

From the 2nd link in my original post. (not sure if it works)

These stats are listed for the new stick.
DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.5V • 1024Meg x 64 •

Heres an upload img of whats currently inside my cpu:

It appears to somewhat match specs to me.
