So recently, my computer randomly freezes and makes a weird robotic buzzing noise. It is most noticeable when I watch a video, but it isn't present when I play my games. Any help?

Open up ur pc and listen to where it comes from, most likely ur HDD, maybe the PSU?

Could also be the DVD drive if there is a damaged cdrom in it, as a damaged cd can cause serious lagg because it keeps trying to read it.

It comes from the monitor/speakers.

Yep. I had the exact same problem on mine. It'd change pitch on different windows. Like a higher pitch on chrome and lower on explorer. Try adjusting your monitor's brightness. Play around with it and the sound should disappear.

yeah those symptions are fitting with a damaged HDD, as they are also the component that are the most likely to break first of a pc.

I once beat my pc and it froze because the HDD didn't like it, and it also caused noise from my speakers and didn't work again till reboot.

Guess that's not the sound he's talking about. it's what he hears when the pc freezes, from the speakers, right?, and that's a HDD defect.

Well you're being very unclear.

First you say "my computer randomly freezes and makes a weird robotic buzzing noise."

So now it's just the speakers ? get new speakers then i guess...
