I am using a TOSHIBA DT01ACA050 ATA Hard disk. On my day's first use (first switch on of a day) an error message appears in a black screen saying "Insert proper boot media or select proper boot device and press any key..."

I had checked my BIOS many times
There also the Hard disk wasn't detected. I went to boot configuration and looked. there also nothing problem was found except the hard disk identification name (friendly name) was not displayed. in the place of the friendly name it was only written Hard Disk. I had usually seen the Hard disk Name earlier times.

I had changed my SMPS then also the problem still exist.

I also observed that the hard disk red light indication won't work during the error message description time

WOULD ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME IN SOLVING THE ISSUE?

I WOULD BE GLAD TO THEM AND WILL PRAY FOR THEM!!!!

The hard drive may have failed. Test it with a bootable CD containing Drive Fitness Test for DOS.
Download the CD image from here: http://www.hgst.com/support/hard-drive-support/downloads/legacy-downloads#DFT

Using a working PC which has a CD burner, create the CD from the CD image using IMGBurn:

When you've made the CD, boot your faulty PC from it.
