Hi All,

I am going to build a gaming PC with the ASUS rog masimum viii hero and need guidance on what the best memory is for it?

It states that it will support Dual DDR4 3733 (OC). What does the OC mean? Overclocked? I dont' really want to overclock anything but do want maximum performance..

Will this memory suit? It states that its 2400MHZ. I can't seem to find anything faster than that.

i'll put a core i7 6700k into it..

So what would be the fastest type of memory I can put into it considering that I don't want over overclock anything?

There appears to be a bit of a mis match between what the mobo sais it can run and what manufacturers are stating their memory is as the memory manufacturers just state what the memory runs at when not overclocked..

thanks for your help!

This is what i7-6700k supports
Memory Types: DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V
If you put in 2400Mhz memory it will be underclocked to 2133.
But, with an unlocked CPU, I think it will scale automatically to 2400Mhz, or you will have to overclock it by yourself.
Just enable XMP profiles in the bios.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
