It needs at least 550 watts so 600 is not overkill.

800VA means 800W without powerfactorcorrection. 
So yeah it should work with a proper 800W UPS, I think. The system will probably use 300-400 Watt at full load, so a 520W single rail psu (like the Seasonic S12II or M12II) will be great as well!
