hello
i would to install W10 in my pc, but if would compare some issues i would to come back to old W7 in few time. so i would to create something in order to restore old SO after formatting.
I downloaded AOMEI partition assistant but i don't know which kind of operation i've to operate
how can i do?

There are a number of programs out there to create a system image. Clonezilla is probably one of the more common free ones. However you can always downgrade from 10 to 7 before the first month of use is over.

using AOMEI i see that i can create an image in an external HDD. the problem is that i should create an empty partition in this device. the risk is to lose all datas, reding the AOMEI guide. do you have any suggestion?

Create empty partition? OK don't confuse CLONE and Image Backup, you want the later. There shouldn't be a need to create any partition. Image Backup, you grab your OS partition (SOURCE), and writes it to your external drive (DESTINATION) as one big file (typically).

Gotta comment on that W10 allows you to "go back" above, yeah, uh-ah, there is one recent post here that it didn't quite work for him. An Image Backup is the sure-fire insurance to "go back" as it was before.

I use Macrium (free) myself.
