Yo!

I have a AMD R9 Fury x 4GB graphics card problem (i think). What i've read about the fury x is that it should go to 1 Ghz on load in memory usage, what ever i play it stays on 500 mhz. Is this a problem or should it be stuck at 500 mhz. I know it doesnt use much memory but what i think i have read is that it should go up to 1 ghz. And i think this causes my trouble with performance overall.

Setup:

Evga 650 w Gold PSU

AMD FX-8320 Black Edition, Socket-AM3+

MSI 970 GAMING, Socket-AM3+

HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB Black 4 st

XFX Radeon R9 FURY 4GB HBM

Seagate Dekstop SSHD 1TB

Windows 10

Solution
you dont need high speed when bus is 4096bit.

I might be wrong, don't really know much about HBM. I do know that 1600 mhz ram runs at 800 mhz, 2400 mhz ram runs at 1200 mhz, etc, because DDR3 runs dual channel. I bet 500 Mhz really means 1000 because it's dual channel.

Does GPU memory clock have anything to do with the ram? Im not that smart with computers..

From what i understand it if your talking about the memory (The HBM) it only runs @ 500MHz becuase of the massive nadwidth its doent need to run any faster and according to the manufacturer HBM2 (the next upcoming generation) it will run no faster but will be available in much higher capacities of 8 and 16GB, if your talking about the GPU itself however its should be running around 1GHz.

Well the core clock runs at 1 ghz but the memory clock is stuck at 500 mhz, maybe it should be that way then.
