I would like the XFX Radeon R9 380x Graphics Card - 4 GB GDDR5

I was going to go with AMD Althlon X4 860K but was informed that I will get bottlenecking. Whats an alternative. I am on a budget.

I've been thinking about getting the Intel Core i3 6100. Cpuboss rated the AMD Athlon X4 860K better and better performance to the pound.

CPUboss said that? the cpuboss page I'm looking at states no such thing, I've experienced using an A10 7700K which is identical to the 860K plus iGPU and it's nowhere nearly as good as the i3 6100 in processing power. The 860K will bottleneck that GPU before the i3 does.

Plus you'd be investing in the deadend FM2+ socket if you go with 860K, 1151 just came out half a year ago and should last 3 generations at least.

Single thread performance, which is important in games and many applications, is quite a bit better for Intel. processors in general.

Intel is better in gaming. Try to get an i5 6400 or an i3 6100 with a H110 mobo.
