Hello, is it possible to connect a wifi router to a separate modem without plugging it into the modem? I want to use the Ethernet jack on the wifi router to connect my PC to the Internet, my modem is too far away from my room to connect my PC to it directly, so I am using a wifi router.

Solution
Most routers have several LAN ports (typically 4). You should be able to use any of them to connect your PC. If your "modem" is actually a modem/router with WIFI you might be able to bridge to your device. Your performance will be less than optimum.
