I just noticed my computer making a weird high pitch squeaking sound but I don't know where the specific source of where the noise was coming from. The noise only lasted around 1 minute and then it stopped. Anyone know why this happened?

Specs :
EVGA GTX 980 SC
i7-4790k
Z97M-G43
CX750M
WD Blue 7200rpm 1tb
Seagate 7200rpm 1tb

Then it is almost certainly a fan issue I would think, but don't take my work for it.

Either one of these could be the answer, I'll copy/paste for easy reading:

It's more likely to be coming from a cooling fan - - it's spindle-bearing is probably worn.
Fan replacement will fix it.

and

I have had a similar issue, mine was due to a fan as the airflow was making a funny noise as it rushed through the back of the case.

When these noises occur, what are you doing on your PC, are you going intensive tasks which could speed up airflow causing the air to make this "high pitched" sound.

I don't play Minecraft but from what I've heard it's actually quite resource intensive despite outward appearances since it uses Java. This is really out of my knowledge range but the only think I could recommend is troubleshooting each part. Does it happen when you open any other games (CS:GO, Battlefield, Tom Clancy games, anything you have really) or Chrome (chrome feasts on your RAM like a king)? Try lowering your settings and see if it goes away, also make sure you're using x64 bit Java.
