M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard
DWA 182 network adapter

The motherboard has 2 usb 3.0 slots I use one for my Logitech G510s keyboard the other for my D-Link network adapter. Since, I got this adapter and other adapters I have always had a problem with the adapter having to be reset while using it. I tried almost every fix I could and all the power options are on maximum performance and 'do not suspend' with no sleep. The power supply is 650 watts 80 plus. I recently ran the usblyzer program and realized it's only ever running in 2.0 480mbps, but I read on other threads that this adapter runs in 5ghz super speed 3.0. I have not figured out a way to make my adapter run in 3.0 speeds whatsoever or to prevent it from losing connection to all signals within range. I've tried updating to all the latest drivers and even was running a beta driver for a while to no avail. There must be a way to make this run in 3.0 somehow. I saw a certain fix online that told me to go into the regedit and find the usb file and copy it or something, but I couldn't figure out which file was the correct one.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\usbstor

That's where the forum told me to look, but i'm not even sure if that's the right way to do it.
Anyone who is really good with this sort of thing please give me a step by step guide to fixing this problem, it's been a long time and I pay for pretty high speeds only to have this one device make error after error with the adapter.

Again, methods I have tried:
Disable selective suspend
Disable power saving
Disable sleep mode
Increase minimum processor rate
Updating to latest drivers

other methods I have tried:
Disable legacy support for usb 3.0 through bios

Solution
Look at the site of the maker,

choose your windows version. For W10 are there no usb drivers in the list, just use the W8.1 drivers in that case.

ok thanks for the suggestion... I'm going to go ahead and try it and see if anything changes then I will post my findings.

update #1: I am seeing it is a newer version at the very least.

update #2: So far so good, I will let it sit online for the next couple hours if the issue does not reoccur I will issue best answer as I believe you may have solved it. Thanks for your help. I don't know why I didn't try this before.

not all of them but most of them. there were things on there like dev kits that I ignored, but I got the bios ai suite update and the usb 3.0 boost application as well as some other things in the windows 10 section. I think I'm looking good now. I skipped the audio file, my audio never had an issue if that comes into play I can upgrade the audio driver, but it's realtek so I get updates anyway.
