Situation: I'm going to be honest I just cracked the ah heck! The screen is finished!

x: Battery Life. Can I take the thingy in and claim it's overheating where the battery is during use and the battery life is severely impaired and doesn't improve no matter how many time I restore the firmware/software? Will they be suspicious of the cracked screen and deny me?

Note: It actually does get hot during use. I just sent them my diagnostics and data usage, they reviewed and said there is no apparent problems with the device or battery :(

Solution
Likely, cuz they will likely test the battery, unless its true that the battery is overheating, with will often crack the screen, do yourself a favor and get an android.

Ok I found a solution for this, so I'm going to consider this thread closed by choosing the above answer as Solution.

My solution:
I read somewhere if your home button becomes defective they immediately replace it, and someone else implied that this could easily be done intentionally by exerting too much when pushing the button to the point of damage. I'm not going to do this because my home button already is slightly defective and doesn't do the TouchID correctly anymore.
