Hi, so I am looking to upgrade my PC from my current graphics card (Geforce GT 430) to a GTX 970. I am aware that I have to upgrade my power supply but I'm just not sure if it will fit with the motherboard. I've measured it out but it will either just fit or just not.

The issue is that I'm not sure if the graphics card can make it past the memory (at least that's what I think it is). They're incredibly close together.

Any answer is helpful.

Solution
A graphics card should make it past the memory ok. Measure across the PCIe slot (long slot closest to the cpu) the GTX 970 will sit in, from the back of the case to the drive cage area. Once you know how many inches you have to work with you can select a graphics card of suitable length. Get an accurate measurement. Your case should fit a standard ATX power supply. If you choose one with 120mm cooling fan it should be ok since they are a bit smaller than ones with 135mm or 140mm fans. Quality is critical for the power supply. Buying a cheap one is inviting problems or disaster. Before opening the case to look at any of these things unplug it from the wall. Safety first.
