Greetings community,

I'm having difficulties with my computer, it's really giving me headaches. This time some weird pixels started showing up on screen, and tldr graphics card is kinda dead.
It's about Sahhpire 4870 (not silent one and its 7 years old since i bought it).
I was wondering since i have ASUS P5Q3 motherboard (it should accept any graphic card today - PCI-e), can you suggest me what graphics card should i take that is SIMILAR to the one i had. Since i can't buy my old graphics card because it's too old it doesn't sell anymore, what card can i buy with same specs, since i don't have much money and i need my computer asap.

Thanks for answers.

Here is the specs of my computer:
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q3
Power supply: chieftec 650W
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Proccessor Q9550
Old graphics card: Sahhpire 4870
Ram: 4gb

What a coincidence I had and still have hd 6950 2gb (my kids are playing on it) and this is an excellent card. With that card you can still play today games with some limitations. Don't know your other components cpu and psu, and how much second hand is trustful (by the way it looks pretty solid on a photo) but it could be the best choice.

Thanks for suggestions, i'll definatly look into those 2. Can you just answer me what is the difference between 128 bit and 256, does it actually matter too much in gaming sense?

It is gpus memory interface and yes it means a lot in gaming. But you asked for something similar to your old radeon. Suggested cards are pretty that and unfortunately in todays circumstances they aren't aimed for gaming.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the answer, but i have one last question ( i'm sorry i'm bothering you too much ^^).
I would buy the Asus r7 250 , but then i saw this card and checked it on some benchmark site:
https://www.kupujemprodajem.com/Sapphire-Hd6950-1gb-DDR5-256Bit-31116795-oglas.htm
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html

It's a second-hand video card, but is it better to take that card instead of new r7 250?
