Looking to overclock my Intel core 2 Quad Q8300

So could I do it? The two things that matter are the PSU and mother board when it comes to overclocking so here is the info:

CPU: Intel core 2 quad Q8300
Motherboard: DG41KR motherboard
PSU: 350 watt powersupply

I wanting to overclock this to 3.0 rather than the default 2.5 that it came with. Will this work with the the stock fan/air cooling system?

get Real Temp GT so you can monitor your temps, these chips are capable of maxing ou their temps very high. Ideally you want it below 85c but youre only going to increase by 500mhz so you should be well below that amount. you will need to up your wattage going to it most likely, dont go over 1.50v though.
