New build computer with gigabyte ga-170x-gaming 7 board. Have installed a samsung 950 pro 512Gb ssd m.2 drive into the motherboard. Also have 1Tb sad drive in a tray in the computer. Boot option priories are as follows option 1 UEFI DVD RAM. Option 2 N1 950 Pro 512Gb (this where I want the OS to go to). Option 3 P2 DVD RAM. No mention of SSD drive in the tray. However when the OS goes through the install sequence and asks where I want the OS to go to there is only one option and that is the 1Tb in the tray, no sign of the 512Gb on the motherboard. When I check the BIOS set up before saving and exiting it shows the following. Boot override
P2 DVD RAM
N1 512Gb SSD
P3 1Tb SSD
UEFI DVD RAM

Help! Where am I going wrong and how do I fix this. Any help would be appreciated

Solution
Before OS installation remove the 1tb drive.

After installation, install the drive then access disk management in Windows then assign a drive letter to the 1 tb drive

Have tried your suggestion with the following result. Windows is not seeing any storage device to put OS onto. Have tried refresh but nothing. It asks for a driver for it to recognise the SSD, but unfortunately the SSD was not supplied with one.

Is a case that due to the SSD being a M.2 and direct into the board it is not picking up on it as there is no SATA connection?
