Hello,

I was just digging around the specs of my computer and decided to compare what each program shows, so here's what confuses me.

My RAM, in Task Manager it shows this:
http://prntscr.com/al8by2
1600MHz

In CPU-Z it is
http://prntscr.com/al8cjs
Shows 799MHz and some NB Frequency at 2097MHz.

In Speccy it shows this:
http://prntscr.com/al8ddd

Brief information about installed chips:
http://prntscr.com/al8dz8

So how exactly does this work? As I understood, both of those sticks are dual-channeled, which I'm not quite sure how it works.

If they're dual channel, does that mean that one can't operate if other one is removed? I understand that they both make up that 1600MHz as both are 800MHz, so 800*2=1600MHz.

Or, if I remove one, will it be 800MHz and that's it?

Am I able to install additional RAM without any interferences to both?

I already figured out my laptop runs RAM on 1.35V and is SO-DIMM DDR3, CL11.

Or do I need to buy a new ram kit?

If anyone can please briefly explain things mentioned and questions asked, you are very welcome.

I run Acer Aspire V Nitro 17 VN7-791G

Thanks.

"So how exactly does this work? As I understood, both of those sticks are dual-channeled, which I'm not quite sure how it works."

The dual channel increases the transfer rate / bandwidth. No relation with RAMs speed

"If they're dual channel, does that mean that one can't operate if other one is removed?"
No, Single RAM will work as well.

"Am I able to install additional RAM without any interferences to both?"
It depends on the laptop hardware (if free slot/s available).

"Or do I need to buy a new ram kit?"
Why would you like to install new RAM kit?

Yes but, can you please answer on other questions?

Can I also install another ram stick that runs on 1600MHz, 1.35V and CL11 as they're stats my current ram is running on? Without any problems because those both are dual channel? Sorry, I don't know this.

Thanks, there are currently two slots taken (4gb+2gb), two free, total 4.
I plan on buying and installing
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-ValueRAM-PC3-12800-Notebook-KVR16S11/dp/B0089JIDUI
Except the one I will buy is 1.35V, not 1.5V as stated on Amazon.
Will it work together with those RAMs already installed?

They might work. Another option: http://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-VN7-791G-77JJ-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-PARTS-QUICK/dp/B00OAHQAA8

Take also into account that, for dual channel, RAMs have to be similar.
