I have a FX 6300 CPU and I wanted to know of a GPU that could run 1080p 45-60 FPS, I have a budget of $200.

Solution
Assuming you mean US dollars, then an R9 380 would be a good option (or much better an R9 380X if you can spend about 20$ more). If it's Canadian dollars, R9 380.

Gtx 760 is a great performer for 1080p, my brother has one in his rig and it's been modded and oc'd by 1ghz on the ram and it runs every game we've thrown at it including fallout 4 and gtav on pretty much maxed out settings @1080p 60fps.

If you can afford a little more go with the Gtx 960, it has double the ram and is a maxwell chip which has better performance than kepler (which the 700 series are except the 750ti).

Yeah no I'd like to see results from the GTA V benchmark to believe that because a GTX 960 can't run GTA V at 60FPS max settings at 1080p (even heavily overclocked), much less a GTX 760 (at max settings).

Isnt the 380x a rebranded 290 anyway? I know the 390 is the 290x.

He said pretty much max which means almost all settings at max. Come on man

The 380x is a slightly improved 380/ 285. It has more VRAM than the 290, but lower performance overall. The 390 is a 290 with more memory.

Unless you have a good used market, I wouldn't recommend the GTX 760. It's overpriced for what it delivers. It costs almost as much now as when it was new. If you can get one for $100, that's good, but spending much more isn't worth it.

No.
You can see GPU details for the 390, 380x, 380, 290x, and 290

Both the 380x and 380 are based on the Tonga chip-same as the R9 285 with similar performance to the 280X
The 390 and 290 are both cut-back Hawaii chips.
The 390x and 290x are fully enabled Hawaii chips.
The 390(x) have double the RAM of the 290(x)

Yes the obvious increase between the 290x and 390 is the vram but the 290x was offered in a 8gb vram version sooo. I've heard it on from several sources that the 390 is more or less a 290x as far as performance goes. Basically a 390 is more or less a 290x. Meh The benchmarks show them so close in performance it's reasonable to agree with the rest of them i guess.
