Only 6 of 8 RAM Slots recognized on ASUS x99 Motherboards.

I first had an ASUS x99 Deluxe Motherboard and have 64gb of Corsair RAM. Slots C1 and C2 in bios would not recognize it and Windows did not recognize it. All RAM worked. CPUZ recognized the RAM. I returned the Motherboard and now have the Rampage V Extreme. Again 6 of 8 slots recognized in BIos and Windows only recognizes 48GB. Slots A1 and A2 are not recognized. CPUZ reports all 8 slots are plugged in. Have updated Drivers, Upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. Moved the RAM around and it is always slots A1 and A2. Everything is brand new and have tried the XMP profiles.

Solution
Fixed it!

I found a lot of posts of ASUS X99 Motherboards having this RAM issue of not recognising all the Slots. Very few results, however. I checked and saw my RAM and all components are tested and reported to work with ASUS. SO I tried the following.

First tried loosening the CPU Cooler 1/2 turn and no change. Still only 6 of 8 slots recognise in Bios and Windows.

After further research, I followed some other recommendations and decided to check the processor for bent pins.

I took the processor out to see if any pins were bent. None. Also noticed the newer processors do not really have pins anyway.

A1 and A2 Slots were the ones not being recognised no matter what RAM I put in it. I blew some canned air on the two slots...

A1 and A2 Slots were the ones not being recognised no matter what RAM I put in it. I blew some canned air on the two slots and then wipped them with an alcohol wipe. I then wipped a RAM stick with an alcohol wipe and then placed the RAM in and out of each slot about 10 times. (Having read some other post and realising this is a new board got me to wondering if there was some coating or debris in the slot.) Once I pulled the RAM out after the 10th time I used can air again and wiped the area with an alcohol wipe again. Put everything back together again and fired it up. All 64gb 8 slots are recognised. Wonder if I had done that with the ASUS x99 Deluxe U3.1 board if it would have worked instead of returning it. It was always Slots C1 and C2. Anyway the Rampage V extreme feels like a better board.

Im amazed that no proper solution exists for this anywhere on the internet.
I have the same exact issue, however with A1 + B1 (recommended setup with 4 x RAM) not recognising anything in BIOS + Windows, while in CPUZ it all appears.

I tried your trick, but sadly no luck here. Perhaps I might try again, just 20 times.

I also posted about my issue here and what I tried:

Hi fellas, I am having exactly the same problem. I did cleaning thing too but right now I am really suspicious about my board. I am thinking that c1 and c2 slots are defected. Please advice me if I'm missing anything.
Rig:
6850k on asus strix x99
4gb * 8 corsair ddr4 3000mhz

Ah another note from my side: I can plug all 8 rams and pc can boot up IF I'm not enabling xmp profile. If I enable xmp with rams at c1 and c2. Pc can't even boot. It goes in loop of reboots and freezes during boot ups.
