So i've been wanting to upgrade to 8gb of 1600 ram for a while but not sure if it's really compatible with my cpu and motherboard combo. I currently an AMD Phenom ii x4 945 cpu paired with an asus m4n68t-m motherboard. It says it supports ram O.C up to 1800mhz but thats overclocking. I just want to know if it will be compatible with this ram: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/27402/kingston-hyperx-fury-hx318c10fk2-8-8gb-2x4gb-blue, i don't mind if the motherboard will underclock it, i just want it to work.
Can i use 1600mhz ram with my pc config??

Might have to really push the CPU (OC and voltage), the 965 was the first that could sort of reliable run DRAM at 1600, if a good price and no joy at 1600 could run at 1333
