Here is my current specs:
CPU: Amd Athlon II X4 630
Motherboard: M2N78-LA (Violet6)
Ram: 4 sticks of 2gb Ram which is 8gb
Storage: 1 TB WD 5400 rpm
Graphics card: R9 270 Reference Card
PSU: 600W EVGA 80+

I just upgraded my PC from the integrated graphics to a r9 270. I was wondering how much of a performance boost will I get if I upgrade my CPU? My budget for the CPU and the motherboard is $200. I'll be buying them at Micro Center using their CPU/Mobo bundles to save some money.

Solution
Depends on the games, in some the performance increase will be small, however in some it will be huge. I see a great deal in the Micro Center at the moment - i3-6100 + GA-H110M-A LGA 1151 mATX. Motherboard is more than enough, unless you have some particular needs. All you have to do is buy ram, but you have leftover money. But you can't reuse your memory anyways.
