Set the ram speed to at least 1600mhz with an H61 motherboard

So first, my build:

intel core i7 2600 processor
Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS 2 (rev. 3.0) motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 1866MHz Memory x 2 (16gb)
MSI GTX 950 2GB GDDR5 graphics card

now my question, is it possible to adjust my ram speed to at least 1600mhz with my current H61 motherboard (I don't expect to achieve 1866mhz with it as it is not a OC gaming motherboard)? The board specifications says

3. Support for DDR3 2200(OC)/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules

and

5. Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules
* To support XMP memory, you must install an Intel 22nm (Ivy Bridge) CPU.

Sadly, the intel core i7 2600 is a sandy bridge processor while it says there that I need to install an intel 22nm (ivy bridge) cpu, is it possible to use XMP with the current processor I have?

No! I'm using the same ram with same frequency. My board is Gigabyte H61M-S1 Rev3.0 same as yours. As it states that it doesn't support that speed, it can't!

And I'm planning to buy that CPU which is coming in low price for me. I'm using i3 3220. Should I get it or should I go with some i5 3rd gen CPU?
Update: I've seen on intel site that the CPU supports only 1066/1333Mhz of Ram. So, the other part of RAM is being wasted. Don't be sad, It would be helpful for future upgrade

The part you said "supports only 1066/1333Mhz" means, the default SPD is "1066/1333Mhz" and you can go higher with that (OC) as long as the current ram speed adjustments is compatible with the CPU or the cpu could keep up else the cpu will die. What I want to know if its possible to set up my ram base speed to 1600mhz at least with the current motherboard I have (H61), any ideas? I believe it can be adjusted through my bios set up, and I want to know to if its possible to enable XMP for the current processor I have (intel core i7 2600), my motherboard specs says, XMP is supported yet sadly my processor is under the sandy bridge family.

You must be wrong. My board even supports 2200 (OC). FYI, I checked on Gigabyte site just now

in your motherboard (H61M-S1 Rev3.0) memory specification, it says "3. Support for DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules", there's no "2200 (OC)" stated in any parts of your board specification page.

i see, so its difinetly NO then

and maybe its a best option to upgrade later for 4th generation intel processor that support upto pcie gen 3.0 and a good motherboard that capable on overclocking, its a pain on my wallet, I have no budget yet for upgrades

You won't notice fps difference in games with different frequencies pal. But no problem, it would be fine if it runs 1333Mhz. Don't forget to select as best answer

I don't think that is possible with i7 2600 non k.
I paired an i5 3330 last time with a H61 motherboard and the RAM speed defaults to 1600 MHz .
I think the RAM speed is dependant on the CPU
SandyBridge = 1066/1333MHz
IvyBridge = 1333/1600MHz
