Hello,
I have a HP desktop PC. Sometimes it does not boot up when I hit Power Button but instead gives more than usual noise of fans, HDD LED does not blink, No video to Monitor, Monitor goes to sleep.
Sometimes when I hit power button, normal sound of fans, HDD LED blinks and it boots up as normal and I could work whole day on this but if I put it in sleep mode, in fear that if switched off it may not boot up again, it some times do not wake up from sleep mode either when I hit keys on kbd or shake mouse where as sometimes it wakes up as normal.
Any idea what is causing this intermittent behavior?

Another way for you to troubleshoot the issues with HDD is to run its brand-specific diagnostic utility and check up on the health and SMART status. In case you cannot find this software, you can refer to some third-party testing tool suggestions from the community.

Are you sure the sounds that you are hearing are coming from the fans and not the HDD itself? I'd recommend you to backup all your data somewhere off-site as soon as you can access the content on the hard drive. Make...
