Hello!
I have been struggling with this issue ever since I got this computer. It was custom built by me and a friend.
I run Windows 7, and it keeps freezing randomly, for 20-30 seconds at a time. During that time I can still move my mouse and switch between open programs, although they don't respond. I don't see an increase in CPU/RAM usage in the task manager during that time.
At first this always resulted in a BSOD. After many tests and exchanging my old SSD for a new one, there are no more BSODs, however, the freezes haven't stopped. They re-occurred the moment I had re-installed Windows on the new SSD.
I have run CHKDSK and memtest on both hard drives, without results. CrystalDisk Info tells me that all my hard drives are fine (I have several HDDs in addition to the SSD I use for Windows).
I do have an Antivir software (ESET NOD32).
My components are as follows:
AMD FX-6300
16GB RAM DDR3
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
4GB GeForce GTX 770
I would appreciate any hint you can give me on this subject. It has become terribly frustrating and I would be glad to have this matter dealt with.
Thanks a lot!
