The pc seems to be on, but there's no display. I don't think it's the gpu, because I had been using it for a while and transferred it over to this build. I don't really know what the problem could be :(

Well, this happened to me when i built my pc. turned out my power supply was switched on the wrong voltage, even though it was switched on the higher voltage. try that. the switch should be on the exposed part on the back. if thats not it, the gpu isnt getting enough voltage; get a new power supply. if THATS not it, double check the installation of the processor and see if its properly installed.

well since the pc you built seems to be new, hopefully you still have a receipt or any other form of returning it in exchange for a new one. and to be honest, if you go out of your way to do that, and it still doesnt work, do some research on if your card has had issues to other owners and you might want to rma it (send it back to manufacturer or just exchange it).

Thanks, seems like the last thing I can do, I'm going to wait for my father, since I'm only 12 and don't trust myself as well. Do you think a 400w might power up the system? just to bench it though

Try clearing your cmos. You can do this by unplugging everything from the Motherboard and unplug the pc from the wall. Then remove the silver battery in the Motherboard for 5mins and put it back.
