My computer loads to windows logo then goes black....Originally i thought i had an issue with my video card (gt 640 fan-less) but i read through a bunch of random forums and everyone was saying it was the video drivers or the way it was setup in bios, but no! very simply i found a small thread and it said it was the memory, and i was like, naaa no way could it be that but i popped one outta the slot and boom, loaded right up! surprised me but... thinking possibly just a bad module, I decided to try both in that same slot, they both worked and booted into windows properly, doubled checked to make sure it was the same DDR3 PC3 - 10600 and yep, so I'm stumped, why is it that it wont load with 2 4 gig sticks? (i will try the same memory in the 2nd slot to see if it is the slot itself)

Booted up with the stick in "slot 2" i do not get it ... computers are weird..... xD

ran a game to do some testing gotta blue screen while module in "slot 2" :O

Solution
DRAM itself is not single channel, dual, tri or quad. Each stick of DRAM is a simple 64 bit device - channels play in with how many sticks and the MC of your CPU. What mobo, CPU and model #s of your DRAM and we maybe can get them to play
Your memory is a dual channel kit or you bought them separatly? If it is a dual channel kit RMA the kit, they have something faulty which prevents them to work in dual channel, if you bought them separatly then this is why you should buy dual channel kits, you cannot do anything just to work with them in single channel mode until you buya dual channel kit.

I did buy them separately so it is very possible that the other memory stick is not dual channel, but why would it give me blue screens in "slot 2" and not in "slot 1"?
