I have an Xfinity wireless router. I changed the admin password 6 months ago, and added parental controls to block specific keywords. Every couple of weeks, I check the parental controls history, and find that the parental control rules have triggered and the router has blocked access to websites for devices that I do not own. I have added the MAC addresses of these unknown devices to the router's block list, but keep finding new ones every few weeks. I am assuming that one of my neighbors is mooching off of my wireless connection. How can I make my connection more secure?

It's not so much the admin password you need to be concerned about, it's the wireless key and it's encryption type, or may be you don't even have any wireless key set at all, in which case it's an unsecured/open network.

In your router's configuration utility, make sure wireless encryption type is set to WPA or WPA2, then create password/wireless key.

Don't use WEP encryption, it's very weak & dead easy to break.

You can also disable "Broadcast SSID" if possible (in the router's config utility) so it doesn't appear when anyone scans for available networks.
