How much power does the gtx 970 need?

I am looking to upgrade from a 550ti gpu to a gtx 970 but i dont know if my psu will handle it everything else in my pc is compatable but i was wontering if someone could help m, i have a Coorsair CX 500.

it needs a GOOD 500w or better, depending on the rest of your system


CX corsairs are not good though, it has cheap parts not meant for gaming systems
