Hellow!

Hellow!

I have Windows XP SP2 32 bit ,the original license cd from Microsoft.

I installed it yesterday(2016).

Because Microsoft doesn't offer for download SP3 for XP ,on their website,

I took it from internet.

I have an AMD Athlon processor 1,79GHz.

When I tried to install SP3,it gave me this error(see the picture on imgur):

I open the registry editor with the command regedit in run and

I changed the value Uniprocessor free in Cheched using this advice:

After that,the sp3 installed.

I restarted the computer and I will show you what happened:

fiirst a number of string camed(very fast):

But I can't log on.

The computer resets(like a reset),it shuts down and starts itsef.

And when I click on any account picture to log on ,the same thing is happening.

What can I do?

Thank you.

You installed the wrong SP3 package - - that installation package "is intended for IT professionals and developers downloading to a machine intending to debug or develop software on Windows XP Service Pack 3".

Re-install your OS, then ask around to see if anyone has SP3 on a CD that Microsoft provided free by request for those who only had a slow internet connection at the time. Of course, that service was stopped a long time ago but there must be a good many of the CDs still gathering dust in peoples homes, so ask around.

I would say start all over using your install disk. Yes you will have a million updates but something you took off the internet has a high chance of being pre-infected with a virus and since it installed at the core level it will be very hard to detect and remove.
Good luck.
