Hey guys,

So like the title says, my RAID 10's will keep randomly disappearing without any precedent - sometimes when I leave my computer on overnight, editing a large video project or just watching netflix, doesn't matter. All my information is intact when I restart, it's recognized by the BIOS upon startup and says it's status is functional and all drives are working fine.

Any ideas? I can't handle the stress every time my drive goes missing :(

Specs:
ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition Mobo
Intel i7 Ivybridge @ 3.40ghz
32GB RAM
PNY nVidea Geforce 780gtx
OS Drive - RAID 0 w/ 240GB SSDs
Media Drive 1: RAID 10 w/ 4 4TB Seagate Drives
Media Drive 2: RAID 10 w/ 4 6TB WD Drives

BlackMagic Design Decklink 4K SDI Capture/Playback Card
PCI RAID Cards

Unless you get another marvel based raid card, all the info would get lost.
Have you no backups? Raid is not a replacement for backups so any info kept on them that is important also needs to be backed up.
Raid only keeps your systems running should a drive fail. It offers no protections against accidental/purposeful file deletions, partition wipes, formatting, viruses...

I'd be willing to spend $100-$150 if it means this won't happen anymore.

Would changing the raid card get rid of the raid array though? Or is all the information stored on the HD's so it can be swapped out?
