Hi, i dont know the password of the video recorder to access hard drive data, so i remove the hard drive from the video recorder and conect with sata cable to my PC. Start windows 7 but the hard drive dont appear on "my pc".... Any idea how to access WD Purple to recover data from my PC? Thanks

More than likely it is in it's own format. I know most of the DVR's I use use a Linux style partition that needs 3rd party software to read it.
What kind of DVR is it? If you know how to do a factory reset on the DVR it shouldn't erase the data

You can try to boot up Ubuntu from a flash drive or a CD(just boot from it don't install it) and see if you will be able to see the files: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/267999-32-recover-data-mode
