Black screen upon booting up new PC

I recently build my own PC, from what I can see all my cables are plugged into the correct slots. However when booting it up no picture shows on screen as there is 'No connection'. Is there any way to fix this?
Note: Monitor is completely fine with old PC

You may want to try resetting cmos settings. This has happened to me in the past. Do you know how to reset? Once you try that then you probably have an incompatible gpu for your pc and its not displaying properly.

This would be the first time booting up so I havent been able to get anything to work as of yet, the grphics card is meant to be compatible as PC part picker has said it is.
