I cannot for the life of me figure out why everytime I try to run Windows 7 ultimate CD in the CD drive. It gets all the way through "Starting Windows" then it comes to 2 different messages.

A blue screen or a windows failed to start. I have tried booting it into safe mode with and without command prompt. It just gives me Windows failed to start each time. I tried changing the IDE to ACHI in the Bios and to nothing. Still giving me this problem. No idea what to do from here.

I keep trying to find threads where this is solved and all I get are people doing a fresh install of a harddrive or someone who is already able to boot into their desktop and can use their command prompt to run commands.

Solution
What mode is the CD drive in? Could be two different modes. I just know mine doesn't like the other one at all.

I'm thinking what if you format the partition and try USB stick again?
Easiest way (unless you have 2 PCs) is ultimate boot CD.

Should be able to slap it on an USB-stick.

It would help if you mentioned some of your hardware, like CPU and Mobo.
For example, my mobo has CD-drive support on Sata-ports 5 and 6. And I can change modes on those two.
Also, if you have a Skylake system, it doesn't have support for USB 2 which is required for Win 7 installs from USB-stick (no EHCI).

When I boot it up through USB it says it needs to be repaired. Then boots into the Logo then sits at the Logo until it freezes.
