I have two old hard drives, one has xp and another has windows 10. Yes, I am aware that i can just pull the files off if I wanted, but I'm just curious if i can boot to my hard drive in virtualbox. So what exactly would i have to do to accomplish this? Thanks! :D

You'd somehow have to recreate your HDD into a VHD.

Not sure if that is possible cause virtualbox (when I tried) wanted an ISO-file of the OS. Which means a boot-image.
So basically a brand new install but on a virtual machine.

I just tried ISO, I'm not really well-versed in virtual machine software.
