USB to Sata adapters: do they exist??

Greetings Community!

I am working with an ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS motherboard. I would like to run 4x GPUs, (which the MoBo supports), but I am running into a physical space issue. Placing a full-length GPU into the lowest PCIe x16 slot eclipses three crucial cable connections on the MoBo. However, there are plenty of unused Sata ports which are out of the way.

My question is this: Does a reliable cable or adapter exist which would allow me to connect either of the following:

1) USB 2.0 Mini Type B [Corsair H100i] to Sata
(I have two of these, currently connected to the MoBo pin-in-box places along the bottom edge of the motherboard.)

2) USB 3.0 2x10 pin-in-box [3.5 inch USB 3.0 Front Panel] to Sata
(I have just one of these. It is also connected along the bottom edge of the MoBo.)

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has another solution, I would also be open to discussion.

Thank you very much for your time and thoughts!

I think you understand properly. The main problem is adding a GPU will get in the way of the USB headers along the bottom of the board. I'm not sure I understand what the item you linked is... but it looks fascinating!

Does something like this exist for a 9-pin USB 2.0 as well? I have been scouring the internet looking for one and cannot seem to find one.

http://www.amazon.com/USB-Internal-Motherboard-Extension-Cable/dp/B004RS5OYI <-- just look for a header extension cable. I'm sure you'll find one you feel will work with the card.

If you manage your cables properly, there shouldn't be any clearance issues with flexible types, so it might even be a good idea to just replace the cables where possible.
