Hi i am looking to buy Gigabyte R9 380 4GB GDDR5 Gaming G1 because my Sapphire HD 7950 Flex end with life, but i have problem my PSU it is LC Power 600W Bronze whose have 2x6 pin connector, but R9 380 has one 8 pin connector. so my question is can i get 150W of power with adapter or i will must buy some "house made" 2x6 pin connector to one 8 pin.
600W is enough because i have i5-3450@3.5 GHz, one HDD and GA-B75m-UD3.
Thx and sry for bad English.

lc only lists one 600w unit on their page and it's this one http://www.lc-power.com/produkte/netzteile/office-serie/lc600h-12-v231/

it says that it has a 6 pin and an 8 pin connection. since it is the only one listed, and you say there is no 8 pin connection, there has to be another model that is not on the site. hence my asking for a model number. this is the only one i see that has 600w from them. therefore you have to have a different model than this one.

on a different catalog site i see another 5 models or more than have 600w. i could guess a model and make stuff up, but i'd assume you'd prefer an answer based in actual reality.

@Legitgamer1261 those molex combiners are not a good solution since they do not provide the same...

Yes my PSU dont have a 8pin connector buy i had run HD 7950 which eating 220W, and i hadn't said that my PSU have 3x6 Pin connector. HD 7950 died because printed plate broken by fans oscillation.

what is the exact model of the psu? it does not sound like an actual 600w psu if it only has 2 x 6 pin connectors. sounds like a cheap unit that is probably closer to 450-500w if that.

not having the 8 pin connection tells you the maker of the psu knew it could not provide the 150w of power to a gpu from such a cable. so they left it out. trying to "create" one won't increase the abilities of the psu and suddenly allow it to create more power than it is designed to.

so again, what is the model of the psu?

@Legitgamer1261 those molex combiners are not a good solution since they do not provide the same power as the 8 pin. especially if the power supply is junk and is not able to provide power anyway. you can create all the connections you want but it won't make the power supply make any more power.
