Y splitters for multiple fans

I have the MSI B150M Bazooka MOBO, fans are making weird noises after few years, so im thinking of buying new fans. My case corsair spec 03 support up to 6 fans. I know i can can use Y splitters on the 2 Fan headers. But can i also use a fan splitter for my stock intel cooler and a Fan?

Yes you can. Just make sure you have the CPU fan into the side of the splitter that reports RPM to the motherboard. (Most splitters are designed so only one fan feeds back RPM signal) Since you care more about the CPU fan speed than the case fan.
