Internet cable is lit green on both ends on computer and modem. Also on PS4 when I'm using it. All six circles turned on green on modem, Power, DS, US, Online, Link, and it still isn't working. Internet bills are paid too. Everything seems to be fine, but still "No internet access". I've tried troubleshooting, and it says that the problem is marked "X" between "Network 3" and "Internet", if that helps. This started a couple days ago. Please help me. Thanks!

Solution
Assuming you've already tried restarting the modem (remove power plug, remove coax cable, wait a min, hook it all back up and turn on), and your PC and PS4.

- Are you using the same ethernet cable to try your PC and PS4? Have you tried a different cable to make sure it's not a bad cable?

- With the PC connected to modem, go to start menu, type "cmd", press enter to open a console window.
- Enter "ipconfig /release".
- Enter "ipconfig /renew"
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Try to access internet (browser, etc.).
- If still a no-go, enter "ipconfig /all"
If the IPV4 Address listed starts with 169, you may not be getting a valid IP address from the modem. The modem may be have developed a hardware problem or be misconfigured. Could...

I'm using an ethernet cable. When I try to connect to PSN on my other device, PS4, it says "Error"

Can you also please describe your network hardware?
What 'modem' do you have (make/model)?
Do you have a separate router or switch of any kind? If so, what make/model are they?
What is connected to what?

I'm using a "Cisco EPC3828"

The "Link" button does work, I just don't have a device on right now.

Could happen if it somehow got reset to 'factory defaults'. If the modem was originally configured by your ISP, you may need to get them involved.
