Sound and Video Outputs Not Working on Motherboard

I recently built my first desktop:

Here's the build again:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (£268.67 @ More Computers)
CPU Cooler: Cryorig h7
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£120.99 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury White 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£55.72 @ More Computers)
Storage: Hynix 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£45.98)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£41.76 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card (£161.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case (£69.98 @ Novatech)

HDMI and DVI ports from the Video Card are working well, except that the DVI has no sound when I plug it into my monitor (which I am not sure is normal (?)).

The USB ports from the motherboard are all working fine; however, the audio is not working when connected to a audio jack for headphones or speakers. In the playback menu it only shows my monitors speakers, which are working:
ASUS VC239-4
NVIDIA High Definition Audio
Default Device

'Disabled devices' are shown, and showing 'Disconnected devices' shows 3 NVIDIA HDMI Output ports that are disconnected.

The microphone is not working, and in 'recording devices' it states 'No audio devices are installed'.

In addition, all the video ports (HDMI, DVI and VGA) on the motherboard are not working. I am aware this is most likely due to my Video Card being the primary source and not the motherboard's integrated graphics.

I have tried many different things and have reinstalled the drivers several times; is there anything I am overlooking? I would like all audio to be working from the motherboard. I would also like the video ports from the motherboard to be working whilst keeping the GTX 960 still as the primary source for the computer's graphics. Are these possible?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

Wow... all over the place.

Ok first, DVI does not transmit audio.

Next, if you use HDMI out it generally disables the other audio output on the system. But also it sounds like you haven't installed the drivers for your sound. You should try connecting a monitor with the DVI cable, and then install the sound drivers. Just to make sure internal sound is enabled.

There is no way for the integrated graphics to work when you have a GPU installed. Consider those ports dead and do not use them. If you have drivers installed for them you should delete them.

You can use this to clear all display drivers from your system:

And then ONLY install the Nvidia drivers for your GPU. The other Intel integrated graphics drivers may even be causing a conflict.

I ran the program for removing the Intel integrated graphics.
Uninstalled the RealTek audio driver.
Plugged in a DVI cable and an audio jack to my computer from the speakers.
Reinstalled the RealTek audio driver.

I also, just before you sent your message deleted the NVIDIA Audio Driver just to check if that was still in the way.

Should I reinstall the NVIDIA Audio Driver?

Yeah re-install anything NVIDIA related. Also try and run the add new hardware Wizard to see if it picks up those two devices and asks for drivers.

The System File Checker came back saying it found 'corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.' The issue is still there, too.

Did the Audio output work at any point?

If you don't know or it did not, I would reccomend a wipe and format of the hard drive and re-install windows, it sounds like your install is corrupted. Then first thing set up the audio drivers to make sure they are good.

I did a System Restore to an earlier point and the drivers were never working. I even went back and reinstalled the Audio driver and it still did nothing. I will reinstall windows.

Thank you, I'll keep you posted.

Ok sorry this didn't work out so easily but once Windows files get corrupted somehow, this is generally the only way to fix.

I didn't reinstall windows, but instead went to the Device Manager and checked the driver's properties and rolled it back, then everything popped up in playback devices, like a christmas miracle.

Thank you so much for your help, I was literally starting to plan disassembling the whole thing and sending the motherboard back if reinstalling windows failed. Thanks man.
