Netgear wireless adapter shuts off when attempting to connect to Internet

Hey guys,
So I booted up my computer this morning to find my netgear wifi USB adapter decides to shut off after attempting to connect to the Internet. Basically, the blue led light on the adapter flashes, as if the device were working properly, until I decide to connect to my internet connection. At that point, the light shuts off and my pc no longer recognizes my device is even plugged in. Anyone know what the issue may be, and if so, how to fix it?

If you haven't restarted since you booted up, try a restart and then try the wireless again. If issues still persist then try to reinstall the driver for your wireless adapter.
