Hey

i have an i5 6500 , and ive undervolted it by -0.205 V . Now , I can do prime 95 for 3hrs ( while browsing , videos and normal usage) and can play mass effect 1/2 and metal gear rising revengance at that setting without any errors (NOTE: using igpu)

Also , i did a prime 95+ Furmark test and it came back stable after 2 hrs

The thing is that it crashes whenever i test it with witcher 3 ( and to a certain extent uniengine heaven in dx11 mode)

Can anyone help me with the crashing issues? Will a dgpu change this due to taking load off the igpu?

Thanks!

ehh ur putting a stress test and ur running a damn high gfx intensive game i mean ur just asking for trouble. i know where ur coming from but u might as well just run prime and intel burn at the same time and see what happens lol

honestly if ur just using the computer for personal use and entertainment just run prime for 1 hour with moderate loads on the side to mimic ur above average usage per hour. that should do it.
but if ur doing very important work maybe someone can give u a better idea on how to test
What made you under volt the i5?

Look in your windows logs for BSOD codes might shed some light.

1) Witcher3 might simply be too demanding for iGPU.

2) Lack to power to CPU causing instability. reset BIOS to default and run it again.

Boredom

1) with 0 uv i can play the witcher 3 fine ( with horrible fps though).

2) No BSOD codes ... win 10 . Just hangs up and restarts

3)I can run prime95 with no problems for 4hrs , wile browsing and videowatching.( and i just used the computer for 24hrs with no problem

4)reset -Intel XTU does that... no problems
