Do I have to use all my motherboard standoffs

In November 2015 I bought a custom computer from Canada Computers and it is called the Aeon 1200 and I have already upgraded 3 components and I am thinking of upgrading my motherboard because the one that it has is the Asus H81m-D plus and I was going to upgrade it to the MSI Z97 gaming 5 but since I bought the computer it didn't come with extra motherboard standoffs and the Asus motherboard is a MICRO - ATX while the MSI is a regular atx and I don't know if standoffs are included in the motherboard box and I want to know if I can use 4 or 6 standoffs with the MSI since it is a regular atx board. So if anyone could help me that would be great.

as for me I prefer to mount things properly I never tried to 'short cut'' something like that

Buy the bag of standoffs junkeymonkey suggested, you do not want to leave part of the board unsupported, especially if you install a GPU.

just be sure you get the correct size and all for your case don't want some that's too tall or too short you want just right

also just to ask is that case drilled for atx and m-atx board use ??? make sure its not a proprietary m-axt only case
