Microphone gain and level adjustment?

Hello

I have an ATR 2500 Audio Technica microphone, and it pics up a lot of stuff, keyboard, mouse, even people in another room. I would like to get the best possible quality out of this mic. Is there any way to change the levels of it? Thank you.

You should be able to make some changes via the speaker icon located in the lower right Windows screen corner.

Right click and select Recording devices. Find the microphone and click into properties. You may be able to change the overall sensitivity there.

Or you may have the same or similar function in your audio application(s).
