This is my first build and I this is what I currently have in my cart one click away from ordering. Will this all work as expected together? Is the case bid enough? Should I purchase more fans or are the two that come in the case enough? My budget can't really go any higher than what it is already and if you actually notice some way I could cut corners it would be much appreciated. I'm building a pc to play games in my 2k 144hz G-sync Acer monitor and also to start on my own projects with unreal and unity.

Solution
Very nice build. The Hyper 212 cooler will almost touch the side of the Spec-02 case. To get a little room there you could use a Cryorig H7 cooler which is newer, better tech for close to the same price.

You'll have to make some compromises in graphics settings for demanding games @1440p with a single GTX 980, if you do a lot of multitasking I'd get 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB. 500GB of storage is going to fill up fast with today's games; I'd recommend adding at least a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD if you can swing it.
