ASUS A78M-E VGA port not working?

So I have a ASUS A78M-E motherboard, and when I plug in my VGA into it, it has no signal, however, when I put it into my GPU, it works, is there a way to enable this?

If your using a processor like a 860X it has no built in graphics so it cant display anything. If your using a processor like a A10 5870K it should be working.

Within bios on startup there is a graphics option to switch to onboard or pcie. Yours must be set for pcie. it must be set to onboard

Actually, I found where it was set to "PCIE / PCI Video" and the other option is IGFX Video
