Hi guys,

I have a really strange problem here that's starting to drive me insane. I bought a USB 3.0 PCIe hub awhile back that is preventing my Windows 10 (Sabertooth Z87) PC from going to sleep whenever anything is plugged into it. Specifically I'm trying to use an XBox One controller, but it doesn't actually matter what the device is. If there's anything in any of the ports, the PC will go to sleep and then immediately wake itself up.

I'm able to go into device manager and disable the offending device's ability to wake the computer from sleep, but if I unplug the device, or if I even reboot the computer, this option becomes unticked and the problem starts again until I manually go back into device manager. So basically my options are a) never let my PC sleep, b) never restart my PC, or c) don't use the hub.

Any ideas what could be going on here? I'd really appreciate any help!

You could try and perform a repair install and also disable automatic device driver update feature and reinstall your drivers. Speaking of drivers, the product page states that your device is supported up to a maximum of Windows 8.

You'll need to install your drivers in compatibility mode:
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility tab>Windows 7/8[from drop down menu]

On another note please make sure your BIOS and remaining device drivers are upto date.

The last thing you could do is recreate your bootable USB installer and reinstall your OS as the OS is constantly resetting to it's previous states.
